Our MissionOur mission is to be the trusted source for personal genetic information – to provide our customers with the most up-to-date, accurate, and meaningful information about their genetic risks, to help them understand and interpret the results, and assist them as they use this to eventually lead a better, fuller life.
Our PrinciplesTo ensure that individuals understand the benefits, risks and limitations of our products and services, Smart Genetics takes the following position on genetic risk assessment: It is not diagnostic. It is not predictive. It should not interfere with a care or service. Confidential testing should be available. Pre-test education and post-test counseling should be provided.
Commitment to QualityWe strive to provide the best quality for our products and services. Our genetic tests are performed by CLIA certified laboratories, the highest standard for quality assurance among clinical laboratories. Congress established the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) in 1988 establishing quality standards for all laboratory testing to ensure the accuracy, reliability and timeliness of patient test results regardless of where the test was performed.
